I was born in the Finger Lakes region of Central New York and grew up in Syracuse, NY, spending the 80's and 90's honing my writing and playing my music.
My journey has taken me to many places including: entire summers in the Catskill Mountains as a kid, countless weekends in the East Village of NYC during my late teens and early 20's, forever bodysurfing in the Atlantic Ocean off Wildwood Crest, NJ, dozens of trips to southern California searching for answers during that same period, Harvard & Boston in '77 and '78, Georgetown & Washington DC in '79, and even living in Madrid, Spain for 6 months after college.
I've lived for extended periods in Long Island, South Jersey, Philadelphia and Delaware.

In May 1998, I rented a U-Haul truck with my Black Mustang in tow, and moved to Nashville, TN.
Nine months later, I was lucky to get my first major label cut, which also turned out to be a single. The song was called "You Wanna What?" - recorded by Alecia Elliott on MCA Nashville. It received two entry list Grammy nominations for Best Country Song & for Best Country Vocal Female.
"You Wanna What?" was played on The American Music Awards in 2000 in front of 18 million viewers, since Alecia was nominated for Best New Artist. She also sang it on The Donny & Marie Show. The NBC Sitcom "All About Us" built an episode around the song. It also appeared in various forms on Access Hollywood, CNN, The Disney Channel, The Nashville Network (TNN), Country Music Television (CMT) & Great American Country (GAC).
There are about 15 different versions/CD's of the song in Karaoke format - which is sort of wild.
A video of "You Wanna What?" was made by MCA Nashville to promote the song and at the time was voted the #77th Greatest Video of All-Time on TNN - The Nashville Network.

(YOU WANNA WHAT video)

I'm a writer and publisher member of ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers). And I'm still a dues-paying Pro Member of NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International).
I've just recently (March 2013) updated this website for the first time in about 10 years, believe it or not. It remained in a time warp - unchanged for that long!
After leaving Nashville in 2001, to take care of the greatest influence of my life - my Dad, who suffered from Parkinson's and Alzheimer's and who has now already passed - I havent done much writing at all. Only very recently, have I begun to pick up pen, paper and guitar and started to write some. I'm looking forward to doing it all again, like I did 15 years ago. Stay tuned!
Peace and Love to All
